Ashburton Global Ambassadors

Global Ambassadors is a volunteering and professional development programme for 18-24 year olds who want to kick start a career in international relations.

Their main role is to represent our district to the world, through activities that enhance our international partnerships, while training and building capability of themselves along the way.

Latest News

We have now appointed six Global Ambassadors and they kicked off their professional development & volunteer programme by promoting, helping out and hosting the Holi festival of colours, as well as welcoming our new citizens at the February citizenship ceremony.

We are impressed by their work ethic and the way in which they represent our district. Their first training session will be learning about Te Tiriti o Waitangi during an overnight stay at Arowhenua Marae. We look forward to their next projects.
